The Desert Soul Tour is a popular, exciting program for adventurous people and the available shared tour will be a special way to end the year 2017 and begin 2018. Not to mention the new friends you will make along the way.

The standard route has been adjusted a little to have a third night spent at the camp.

Day One: 30th December.

The first day begins at approx 10am with a fun scrambling hike of 2-3 hours through Rakabat Canyon. Followed by lunch and then an afternoon Jeep Tour to all the classic sites in Wadi Rum.

The night is spent Bivouac Camping at Um Momgour, one of my favourite places in Wadi Rum protected area. Dinner is prepared on the fire. Just you, your guide, the small intimate group and the great expanse of stars above your head.

Day Two: 31st December.

The second day is spent walking for about 5-6 hours, over the course of the day, heading South to Um Ad Dami.  This walk is through a very beautiful area of desert and outside the areas of Wadi Rum where Jeep tours take place, so a quiet area, perfect for walking.

Lunch is enjoyed en route.

The second night is spent Bivouac Camping close to Um Ad Dami. This isolated area is a beautiful, quiet area for Bivouac camping. Just a few kilometres from the Saudi Arabian border.

Bivouac camping for new years eve is a perfect way to escape the commercialism of New Year and enjoy an evening around the fire, sharing stories and experiencing the natural world around you.

Day Three: 1st January 2018.

The third day after breakfast you walk up the highest mountain in Jordan. The walk is about 2-3 hours and rewards with views to Saudi Arabia (South) and back to Jebel Rum (North) where you started your journey. Jebel Rum is the high mountain on the West side of Rum  Village. On clear days you can sometimes see the sea (West).

After lunch you head back towards Rum Village to Khazali Canyon. Then you take a 2.5 ish camel trek to Bedouin Directions permanent Camp.

The last night is spent at my Permanent Camp, a beautiful location in Wadi Rum and a stepping stone back into the "real" world. Bathrooms and Bedouin tents are provided for the night. Dinner is chicken and vegetable Zaarb a method of cooking under the ground.

Day Four: 2nd January.

Departure will be after breakfast, getting back to Rum Village at approx 8.30am for your onward journey.

Rates will be a maximum of 269JD p.p (based on just one person joining the current group).

If the tour is full (total 6 people) the rate will be: 197JD p.p
